What a redemption story used to be the spectacularly awful Noise Bar, obviously had a squillion dollar fitout, not one but two beer gardens, several DJs are supplemented by the sound of the level crossing, pay TV sport channel on one telly, so many DJs that there are decks on the pool table actually, also has a Pac-Man table, great value brunch, not our style of music but glad that someone is doing it and doing it well, brilliant bottle shop great wines and craft beers, proper late night license and cracks off, backpackers’ hostel upstairs, “boutique office space for rent”, good selection of 2 Brothers and Sample beers on tap among others, burlap sacks keep the sun off the smaller beer garden, heated beer gardens, kitchen smells good, came here on opening weekend when the stones canceled their entire tour and they were one of many having a stones commiseration party, place has evolved a lot since then, it’s very “new” Brunswick, pretty sure it’s the second closest pub to our house, plastic glasses, all the bartenders are hot, got it’s own venue in a separate building next to the big beer garden, used to work with the bloke who helps run the Mahala parties here, brought Mum and Dad here once, can get quite loud but we are old, nice to see a pub use its heritage name, fantastic ever changing mural on bike path side, absolutely better than what it was.
