Did you know there’s a proper posh cocktail bar on top of The Retreat, we had a rum old fashioned and an Earhart Fizz (both tasty), has a legit pool room, tried to play a game with Skip once on the ROUND pool table he reckoned it was designed so you could put a stripper pole in that middle hole he could talk some shit, lots of distinct rooms with comfy nana seating, increased the bloke count by 50%, had birthday drinks here once with Amy, also organised a crafternoon, staff are so down with cool ideas, Nick had a great birthday here they did food and a custom punch, loving the round ice apparently it’s better for your drink, 1920s kooky art deco, do you remember watching the decorators late at night working on getting this place open and then we got a personal tour once it was open on like day 2, did we see Richie 1250 up here, feels exclusive and empty but anyone can come up, probably have a roaring fireplace in the winter no I will not stick my head up the chimney to check, jazz by the Rat Pack, bartenders had complimentary side ponytails.
