The Brunswick Green
313 Sydney Road

You think you know a place and then they put an ATM in it good on them, the most magnificent collection of pub wall tatt in the whole suburb (just try and prove me wrong), I mean it’s even on the ceiling in the back room, music is normally well on-point but be warned they do love live jazz, actual contender for “Brunswick’s best beer garden”, there is a fish pond, bikes on the roof, outdoor bar, heated beer garden, used to claim the biggest collection of cider in town (still pretty true), great for 30th birthdays and first dates found on Tindr, run by two old blokes who do their supermarket shopping at the Safeway on Albert Street, unique way of pouring beers, is that Eric Clapton or a Bee Gee, bought cleaning rags from a drag queen here once (see The Charles Weston hotel), warning: cobbles, shut on Mondays.
Revisit: forgot to count the beers and wines and had to revisit. Asked for my gin and tonic in a tall glass, came with a side of surly, you know what we’re always happy to come back here though.
